Detailed itinerary for 10 days Uganda cultural safari
Day 1: Entebbe / Kampala
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our guide/driver who will transfer you to a hotel in Uganda’s Capital of Kampala with dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kampala City Tour
After your breakfast, you will start off on your Uganda Cultural tour in the capital of Uganda. Among the highlights of this Kampala city tour is a visit to the Namugongo Shrines, the African Craft Village ‐ where you can purchase African art, handcrafts plus other carvings, and the Kasubi Tombs, which is a unique burial place for the kings of the Buganda kingdom and the Bahai Temple. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Travel from Kampala to Fort Portal
After an early breakfast, you will depart for Fort Portal, a town that lies at the foothill of the grand Mountain Rwenzori and is most renowned for its vast tea plantations. Be sure to enjoy the beautiful scenery with plenty of pictures as you pass through verdant hills dotted with traditional homesteads plus farms with dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Visiting Fort Portal town and surrounding.
After your breakfast, you will get to enjoy the full glory of the grand Mountain Rwenzori. Pleasure in a guided – nature walk at the lower heights of the mountain and learn about the fascinating culture of the locals in this area. You will be stunned by the spectacular views, get a feel of the impressive village life as well as visit the traditional medicine man.
Furthermore, you will make a stop at the impressive Amabere Caves for sightings of these beautiful caves and waterfall. You will discover the tiny hidden waterfall as well as marvel at the stalagmites plus stalactites. At the end of this day, you will be entertained by traditional dances plus songs in the evening with presentations from the various tribes (but this only happens on Sundays) Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Visit Crater Lakes
After breakfast set out for a hike at Nkuruba, and explore the Crater Lake region, you will get to see various primates like the red colobus monkey and white and black colobus monkey as well as lots of bird species. You will also get to visit the Mahoma Falls and enjoy lots of beautiful pictures. You will get to have an experience with the local people and learn more about their culture and daily life. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Transfer from Fort Portal to Nshenyi Village
You will have an early breakfast, check out of your safari lodge and drive to Mbarara town. A lunch stop will be made for you to fill your hungry tummy with a delicious African buffet. After your lunch, you will proceed to Nshenyi Village, a beautiful place with a lot to enjoy including the rising and falling landscape of the Ankole plains. Dinner and overnight at Nshenyi Village.

Day 7: Visiting Nshenyi Village
Begin the day early heading straight to the fields for a typical African milking experience of the long-horned Ankole cows. Return for a fresh delicious African breakfast at the farm and then set out for a short walk to the Bahima people’s village. Experience their lifestyle as well as traditions and learn about their lifestyle, what they eat as well as their additional local habits. After lunch, you may choose to have a nature walk around River Kagera, which is a natural border between Uganda and Tanzania.
The path takes you through the rolling hills which look into the Nshenyi Village. Marvel at the supreme wealth of bird ‐ life as you stare into Tanzania. You may be entertained by traditional dances and songs in the evening by a non‐professional local team then head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Nshenyi Village
Enjoy an extra day unwinding in the comforts of Africa’s nature. You may choose to spend time in the green fields to graze the cattle or get involved in actively learning the process of converting milk locally into ghee whilst cooling off in a typical traditional hut. Alternatively, you may opt to visit the local schools and see how schools are operated in a typical African setting, enjoy a nature walk or even pass by the open market and observe how trade is carried out.

Day 9: Transfer from Nshenyi back to Kampala
After your breakfast, we will set off for Kampala from Nshenyi village. Enjoy wonderful views at the Return to Kampala with lunch en‐ route and a stop at the Uganda Equator for snacks and pictures, you may also check out the local craft shop where you can get little souvenirs to take back home and remember your Ugandan experience. You should arrive in Kampala in time for your dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Departure
