Detailed itinerary for 2 days Lake Mburo National Park Safari
Day 1: Travel from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park
You should be on the road at least by 7:45 am, as your guide/driver will be picking you up from the hotel/place of residence to start the safari. You will be using the Kampala-Mbarara highway with a stop at the Uganda Equator. Thereafter, proceed through the districts of Kalungu, Masaka, Lwengo, and Lyantonde, and then to Kiruhura, where the Savanna Park is located. Have lunch in the Savanna Park hotel. Then advance for a boat ride on Lake Mburo to see lots of animals like hippos, zebras, bushbucks, and crocodiles with a variety of birds and the breathtaking views of the surrounding wetland and grassy hills in the distance. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Morning Game drive in Lake Mburo and Back to Kampala
You’ll wake up very early, at around 6:45 am, have a quick cup of coffee or tea to warm you up, and then continue for the game drive. In order to be able to view the nocturnal animals before they retreat back to their hiding places. Expect to view animals including impalas, warthogs, zebras, bushbucks, and buffaloes. You’ll also stand a chance of seeing the elusive leopard if lucky. After the game drive, come back to the lodge, have your breakfast, have some moments of relaxation, lunch, and later have an evening nature walk.
