Detailed itinerary for 3 days Mountain Nyiragongo Hiking Safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to the Goma border
Early morning, after breakfast, visit Volcano National Park for a community walk at Iby’iwacu cultural village. Besides that, you can opt for an evening boat ride at Lake Kivu. After return to your reserved lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Hiking Mount Nyiragongo
Early morning, after breakfast, transfer from Goma to Kibati, the starting point for the hike, be briefed about the hike, get a porter, and set off to the mountain at 10:00 am. The hike takes 5-6 hours to reach the summit of Mount Nyiragongo. Have lunch in the process of the hike, dinner, and overnight in one of the huts on the mountain.
Day 3: Descend from Nyiragongo to your desired destination.
After breakfast, descend from the summit of Mountain Nyiragongo to Kibati, meet your driver and transfer to Goma, checkout, and be dropped at your desired destination.
