Detailed itinerary for 8 days Rwanda safari adventure
Day 1: Kanombe Airport – Kigali
You will be picked by one of our representatives upon your arrival and he will be both your safari guide as well as your driver. He will then transfer you to your booked accommodation as we would have booked the room ahead of your safari with dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour with Transfer to Nyungwe Forest
You will have your breakfast and then check out of the hotel/Lodge as you will be taking on the Kigali city tour and visiting the Belgian Memorial, Kigali Historical Museum, and Genocide Museum among others. You will have lunch en-route and after proceeding to Nyungwe Forest with the visit to the Nyanza palace, Murambi Memorial and Butare Museum en-route. Later transfer to your accommodation/ hotel and check in for your overnight plus the dinner.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest Chimpanzee trekking Rwanda
Today you will be waking up early as you will be tracking Chimps for half the day. So, get ready, have breakfast and then transfer to the park offices for a briefing about dos and don’ts while with the chimps. Apart from the chimps, you will most definitely encounter other primates including the black and white Colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys and much more. You will return to the lodge/hotel and relax the evening away as you wait for your dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Canopy and Nature walks
Immediately after breakfast, you will be going for your canopy walk within the forest where you should expect to enjoy the beautiful sights and sounds of the forest among others. You will come back from that activity in time for the launch and after you are done with lunch, you will have a self-guided walk around the nearby environment and the Kamiranzovu waterfalls. Return back to the lodge, and relax as you wait for your dinner plus overnight.

Day 5: Visit Lake Kivu
Today it’s going to be all about Lake Kivu, so after breakfast, we shall embark on a journey to the beautiful Lake Kivu in Kibuye town. On the way, you will notice the breathtaking scenery of the Virunga Mountains and the green vegetation sceneries en-route. You will be having lunch en-route and proceed for a stunning boat cruise along Lake Kivu and experience birds and animals along the shores. Later head to the booked accommodation as per your liking, check-in and have dinner with your overnight as well.

Day 6: Golden Monkey Tracking & Dian Fossey
After breakfast, we depart to Volcanoes National Park to catch up with the golden monkey trekking experience. These are the most endangered primate species at the site. Return for lunch, after head to Karisoke Research Centre, to visit Dian Fossey’s grave once great primatologist. Dinner and overnight at.

Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Tracking Adventure
Your day will begin with breakfast very early in the morning, then head to the park offices for a briefing from park officials. You will then be led into the forest in search of the shy mountain gorillas. The trekking may be a full day/half day depending on the movement of the gentle giants. Allowed one hour is given for photography, observations, and enjoying them feeding or playing around. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
